  1. While watching the film top can notice a lot of quotes that many people still use today that are from this film. For example,"Here's looking at you kid."
Also, you can see when Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman first meet they have met in the past and have a history together. I like how they show a flashback of how they loved each other and the time they spent together.

  2. This film is amazing. some of the stereotypes that are on women in the film still exist today, but it is not considered politically correct in modern day America.

  3. I really like the film so far and I'm interested in finding out what happened to cause the two main characters to split apart if they were so in love. I'm also curious to know how the female lead started a relationship with this other guy and how she ended up in the bar that the male lead, her past lover, owns.

  4. I Find it interesting that the Rick of the past and the Rick of the present within the film are so contradictory. Rick comes off as a cynical and angry man at first but during the flashbacks we see a completely different person, a happy young man in love with Ilsa. The difference is so distinct that even the names between the two are contrasting (Richard in the past, Rick in the present).

  5. I see why this movie was on the top charts for so long. There is so much conflict, love, and decision.
Ricks love accidentally arrives in Casablanca. He is not only overwhelmed by the fact that's she's married, but they are asking him for exit visas, for the 2 of them. Rick has to make the decision to let his love leave Casablanca. He holds on to the exit visas, he essentially holds the key for the couple. in addition, you can see the strain build up with in Rick, as the movie goes on. Memories flood rick and Lisa's minds. These memories create conflict. As seen in the saloon scene where it's just Rick and Lisa, Rick really goes after her. Micheal Curtiz hit it on the nail with this film. Drama, love, conflict.

  6. I really like this movie. Even though it was made such a long time ago, it still holds up today. I really liked its plot and different themes intertwined in it. I think the actors in the movie acted really well. All the drama, love, and the complexity of the characters create a lot of suspense and it me very anxious to see how it ends.

  7. The beginning of the film I thought was a bit confusing, but as the film continued I was able to understand it more. What I found interesting about this film was the way that Rick and Ilsa's love story was reveled, from present to past(flashback).

  8. I believe that this movie is one of the best romantic films that I have seen in a while. At some points the film would get confusing and it would be a little hard to follow along but towards the middle of the movie I understood what was going on. I also enjoyed how everything was pieced together it made the story line even more interesting because of the twists.

  9. Watching the film from the beginning made me think that it wasn't going to be the best romantic film ever. Each day watching the film it became more understandable and interesting. I really enjoyed this movie. The ending to me was my favorite because it wasn't like every other romantic film. The movie almost had a sense of its own plot seeing that not every romantic film ends badly for the poeple that are in love with each other.
